Chitosan Hydrochloride
Chitosan hydrochloride is a primary derivative obtained by modifying chitosan with alkyl halides. Its chemical structure is a high molecular weight alkaline polysaccharide polymer with cations. It is an off-white or light yellow powder, directly soluble in water, and its aqueous solution is clear and transparent with stable properties.
Chitosan hydrochloride has strong cationicity and inherits the excellent properties of chitosan, such as biocompatibility, degradability and antibacterial properties.
It can be used as a carrier for hydrophilic drugs, and can also be used as a moisturizer, emulsifier and stabilizer in cosmetics and personal care products.
